About Us

Meet the owners!

We are beyond excited to bring We Rock the Spectrum (WRTS) to Katy, Texas! We feel like this gym will foster a welcoming and fun environment for our community to come together and to learn and support each other. Opening the WRTS Katy location will bring a gym to the residents of the area that offers a place for all kids to be free and have fun, regardless of ability level.

Shannon Mazy

Shannon Mazy is a graduate of Katy High School, and attended college at Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas. She earned an undergraduate degree in Occupational Therapy with a minor in Psychology. She loved the small town feel of Katy and convinced her college sweetheart to move back to her hometown to get married. They have two amazing children Cassidy (13) and Andrew (9).

Shannon has worked in various therapy clinics and hospitals in and around the Houston area helping all age ranges of patients. She found that her heart was with the children she served, and switched her career path to practicing in a school based environment. After that, she decided to further her education and refined her knowledge for school-based services. She returned to school at Texas Woman’s University where she earned her Master’s Degree in Occupational
Therapy with a specialty in School Based Therapy Practice. She is currently employed as a school based Occupational Therapist in Katy ISD, but has
also worked in Spring Branch ISD.

Shannon has been working in the schools as an OT for the past 16 years. Serving children, families, and the educational staff as become her passion. Shannon is so excited to be able to bring this gym to the Katy community as a much-needed place to foster sensory and physical
development as well as become a supportive place for parents.

Platinum Donators

With this dynamic team bringing the WRTS program to Katy, kids and parents alike will find a new favorite place for fun and learning for all.
Help us open this rockin’ new gym location by making a generous donation to assist with the costs of starting and operating this gym. As a community program focused on helping kids with their growth and development, all donations go to the My Brother Rocks the Katy, which become a direct contribution toward the future of Katy.
